Dengue Index App is developed for the publictohave an awareness of the current hotspot and information on thenextlikelihood of dengue outbreak at their fingertips. It is auserfriendly application built in conjunction with the BigDataAnalytics (BDA) Initiative for the nation. This solution isbasedon a combination of various data sources with advancedpredictiveanalytics method. The resulting index would be madeavailable viamobile apps (IOS and Android) whereby users couldidentify theDengue Index at their current location or anotherlocation. Itwould be specific down to the street level. In the nextrelease,the application will have further interesting featuresbenefitingthe society such as the below proposed plan:a. Community Leaders – advice on preventative measures suchasincreased fogging, clearing still water etc.b. Government Planners – highlight new hotspots for thedistributionof information, resourcesc. Community members – advice on preventative measures, symptomstolook out for etc.With the Dengue Index application, citizens will be wellinformedon the current hotspot and able to plan their daily lifeactivitiesaccordingly.
